Fan shades are for narrow windows and are gathered or raised up from the bottom in the center only.

They look best when using fabrics like silks, taffetas, or chintz.

You can add ruffles to the bottom edge, or valances in front of them.

A big tassel hanging down from the center is desireable.

Like other types of fabric shades, they can be made to be operable or stationary.

Please be aware of child safety when choosing corded shades. Any cords that hang down or

can loop out from the back of a shade can cause a strangulation hazard for children and pets.

There are many head-rail options today for safe operation of fabric shades. I do not offer corded

shades with hanging cords. Ask about cordless and other safe options.
